Ironheads Por Vida

SheaZilla just zapped this on my big fat side. Let me tell you that tattoo's are stupid and are seriously worthless. They will not get you laid, you will spend all your money on them and they can reduce a grown man to a wimpering bitch. Good thing for me Shea hooked this up in trade and knocked out the line work quick like. Right about the time I started hating it, it was done. Good job Shea and anyone looking for legit ink look up our boy Shea. Freaks on Broadway is were his seat is.
I wanted a silly Ironhead tattoo and a Anchor MC worked in and just decided to make it all La Raza.

Shop week

This next week I will be at the shop full time. My day job is deathly slow so I am gonna get caught up on work at the Anchor. We have a ton of projects in and customers are getting antsy for riding season. I will be there from about 7:30 in the morning until about 5 all week, feel free to come by and drop off your cycle or come check out what is going on. I will post a bunch of progress pics as the week progresses. The picture is a great image of the bay bridge in SF. We are gonna ride across it in June and I will remember this picture, I believe there is a little scenic road that still goes up the side of the hill I think I will try and sit right on this spot and think back to our super shitty winter and just smile.

Naked 51

Got my 51 back from the blaster. Amazing how straight it is. Did the entire undercarriage with POR 15 this week as well as undercoated the the body. Body work starts this week. Got my crazy long list of parts I still need and will start working on picking them all up. Did get my new gauge cluster with all new fancy type gauges. Well fancy to me means they actually are gonna work. I will be slaving away on the 51 till its done. Enjoy

Not gonna ring my BELL

Decided that a Moto-8 Bell helmet is what I needed. I can't ride with a full face street helmet because I can't see anything. The whole time I am having to look over my shoulders and I hate that feeling of some ghetto critter about to run my ass over. Open face helmets look cool but after about a thousand rocks in the eye and the chance of crashing and losing my chin I am over the cool factor. There is a perfect medium a Bell MOTO-8. Insanely light and you can not see any of the helmet except the visor with it on. Face plants will be better and it comes in flat black which is the least offensive when it comes to helmets. I will wait untill I drop it to take the visor off I imagine that will be the first thing to make it to the trash bin. Anyways if you are ready for the next level type shit try one out. The boy loved it.

YOU ARE GONNA SPEND IT ANYWAY

Both of these fine machines are on Ebay as of today. The first is our copper bike. 1977 CB 750 vintage and is in perfect running condition. Tons of hand built and well thought out parts. As for my 2008 Triumph I just don't ride it enough to warrant owning a new bike. Sure it looks good and is the most reliable bike I have ever owned but I like my Ironheads and this will make someone else real happy. Pass the word around and feel free to get in on the auction craze. All the kids are doing it.

June 20th is the Kick Off

It seems like all winter all I have been talking about or preparing for is this trip. Born Free 3 is the 25th and I am just using the show as a point B for the trip. As it goes right now I will leave KC on the 20th and get across Kansas the first day. I will camp at the Bonny lake campground that night right inside the CO border. Next day get across CO and camp at the High line Lake state park on the border of Utah. Next day will be a push to get across Utah into Nevada, hopefully make it to Vegas that night. Should be able to roll into Long Beach sometime Thursday. Get to just hangout Friday and Saturday. Split from the show and head north up the coast till we hit San Fransisco. I would love to spend a day hanging out in SF. Lots of great things to do and eat. Leave there and get to Lake Tahoe and camp. Blast across Nevada the long way across and try and sleep on the salt flats for a night. I have this great vision of sleeping up against the rocks on the north side of the salt beds and waking up and seeing the salt for miles. We might even run the bikes out and see if we can set any speed records for fully packed down chopper class. Head towards SLC for the night and some rest. i want to 2 lane it across CO on the way back. Take every backwards ass road and get to Denver eventually. From there it will just be a full throttle blast across Kansas again. There is no part of the Kansas state that is good. The road sucks and is insanely boring. Get home and sleep for days. So if you are reading this and are thinking of a epic trip or are headed that way from any where else hit me up and lets ride together. From KC there might be 4-5 guys but how knows when it comes down for the get out of town part of it. I have spent countless hours building my bike and I don't believe she is gonna fail me. I will have a insane amount of tools and all other needed items. Some spares and I just went and outfitted myself with all the needed camping gear. I picked up a tent, new sleeping bag that rolls down super tight, sleep mat, tarp, one little pot, etc etc. The deal is it all had to fit in one duffle bag and that had to fit the sissy bar I built. I went around Mickey's surplus with the duffle bag and made sure all the needed items would fit in the bag. I already put the tent together and made sure I could pack all of it night after night in the same order and make it fit. I am chomping at the bit to go already. 3 months and counting
