Just Like You..

I hate hearing about anybody having a accident. Even worse I freaking loath hearing about someone dieing on there two wheeled freedom mo' sheen. Our buddy Matt's dad was out last week and found himself in a super shit sandwich. Well he did not survive this one and we are all hoping that Matt and his family are dealing as best they can. I know he knew how to ride a bike but sometimes the circumstances out way the ability to over come. Anyways if you know Matt give him some kind words. His dad died doing something he loved and that might be the best we get.

Saturday 8-28-10

We put in a good day. Here is the street tracker tank getting some panels and lace. I got the 51 fired up. Sounds good and I will be driving it to Greaserama for sure. Got all the brakes done and pieced together some steel wheels for now. Motor sounds real good and all I am waiting for is the radiator to get done and I will be rolling the f-1.

How Down Are You!

Well Tony throws off the gloves with this one. Sheazilla is getting real proper with the ink and hammer. Notice the huge gash Tony already took out of the rim. What other 50+ man gets this sick shit put on his arm. Makes me wish I had saved some good spots. Oh well

Drool Drool Drool

Some history unfolds on the 51. First pic is in early 50's when it was work only, next was 63 ish when the truck was getting its new mill. Notice steel smoothies and 2 inch blocks were added to the front.Next one is dated 64 and is getting ready for the strip. At some point they shit canned the front bumper and used a tow bar to get it to the strip. I was told that my mom is the little girl steering the gasser in the pic. The last is when they finally got the big block pontiac set up for real. Two four barrelled goodies. Anyways my grandma sent these with the truck so enjoy. More pics should come at a later date

The 51 lands in KC

Well after much waiting my truck is here. Already have a game plan so I can get it running and stopping in time for Greaserama. I might even have it in a new coat of primer. The body is almost in perfect condition. One of my uncles had started doing some bondo patches all over so I will hit it all with a DA then shoot some poly primer on it. Going to Cali for a week then I will tear into it.

Chopper Glory...

Lets have a talk!

Well it seems as of late people are gonna bitch about how everybody is into period choppers. Granted if you live in Cali you probably are sick of every douche that wears a Pendleton and some Vans claiming to be a chopper jockey. I truly understand this because I am from Cali, but seeing that I am in the dead center of the country now I have a totally different take on it. 5 years ago when I left Ventura to move here there really weren't very many real choppers around. There were none in KC. I have since met a few guys that have proper bikes but that is why I have been hell bent on making my shop work. Slowly but surely people are wanting simple choppers that are meant for ripping up town. So seeing people bitch about Period correct bikes is just a hoot. Wouldn't you rather see a well built chopper that looks good? Well I do. I have had to work on to many clapped out piles lately to not want to see a well built bike. Don't get me wrong there are some good builders in Kansas City but I can count the good ones on one hand that I haven't worked on. Whatever the latest fad is I don't give a shit. Choppers are forever. Choppers are real deal expressions of ones skill, art, stupidity, will, patience, pain dealer, and never forget people fucking die on these deathtraps every day. Think about it like this. When all these bro's realize they can't deal with "BEING A BIKER" they will sell there bikes and all there "RARE PARTS" for a song because they won't give a shit. Guess who is gonna be there with a fist full of dollars and a smile a mile wide.
Don't even get me started on "BOBBERS" . The most over used word in the chopper world. What people call bobbers are really just shitty cheaply built poorly executed throwaway piles. I will say that if it is not a 1960 or earlier Triumph or Harley then don't even udder a the B word. You see those early bikes have a certain look that you just can't get with anything newer. People try ,People fail.
